From the subversion of gender norms in These Letters End in Tears, to the historical erasure of women’s bodies and expertise in Lady Doctors, to the aftermath of sexual assault and pregnancy in Rinsing Mukami’s Soul, the authors offer a rich, intersectional perspective on the fight for bodily autonomy as both a personal and political struggle.
