Events Poetic Temple x The Africa Centre Presents - Golden Ages Humanity has walked this Earth for many millennia, a truth echoed through ancient relics and forgotten civilizations, challenging Darwin’s linear evolution with evidence of cycles far older and deeper. Astrology tells us the great procession of the equinoxes, a 26,000-year cosmic dance, marks humanity’s descent and ascent through different ages. Some say we are now reawakening, exiting the darker ages and remembering golden times past. A Golden Age like those of ancient Nubia and Kemet was marked by harmony, matriarchy, and equality. This evening honours those energies through poetry, art, and open expression. 🌟 EVENT LINE-UP 🌟 🕖 Time: Doors open at 7:00 PM 7:00 PM Doors open Open Mic Sign-Up Live Art Begins 7:30 PM Welcome by our hosts: Stella B & Nat Nye the Lyrical Alkhemist 7:45 PM Opening poem & reflections from CEO Olu Alake 7:50 – 8:50 PM Open Mic Poetry Hour 8:55 – 9:15 PM BREAK — 9:16 – 9:46 PM Featured Spoken Word Performances 9:47 – 10:00 PM Art Showcase & Closing Thank-Yous Poets x The Africa Centre x FUNDRAISER.
