“January 15, 1970, was the date that marked the end of the Nigerian Civil War. Towards commemorating the 55th anniversary of the end of this conflict, there shall be a screening of the award-winning documentary film ‘January 15 1970: Untold Memories of the Nigeria - Biafra War’ directed by Ed Keazor (and nominated for best documentary at the African Movie Academy Awards 2020, and winner Spotlight Film Awards 2021).

This film is based on the memories of survivors of the war, every day people mostly, sadly caught in a fratricidal war. This film explores the very human experience of conflict - with the overwhelming message - ‘never again’. “
