Chakula x OUTpatients Community Conversations: LGBTIQ+ identity, cancer, and faith A community conversation about what faith, spirituality, and religion mean to LGBTIQ+ people around affected by illness. Join us for our first community event of the year, bringing together LGBTIQ+ community members for gentle, honest conversations about faith, health, and healing. This in-person event will explore how faith, spirituality, and personal belief shape experiences of illness, resilience, fear, and hope. While faith can offer comfort and meaning for some, it can also be linked to exclusion or harm for others. Together, we’ll hold space for these complexities and reflect on the role spirituality can play in healing. Who is this for? This event is open to all LGBTIQ+ people living with and beyond cancer (LWAB), as well as their loved ones. You can be of any faith or none, all are welcome. In addition, we also welcome: Cancer professionals; Faith leaders; Community organisations; If they have a special interest in this subject, and want to listen and learn from the community. What will it involve? The event will be interactive, welcoming, and reflective, featuring gentle activities, a bridge-building workshop, and a panel discussion with faith and spiritual leaders from our communities. Our aim is to create a supportive space where people can listen, share, and learn without pressure. Booking for this event has now closed. Book Manage Cookie Preferences
